ABOUT

Hi, I'm Mikki. I'm so glad you're here.

Who I am

I'm a yoga teacher, reformer pilates instructor, sound healing facilitator, and retreat host based in Nottinghamshire.

My intention is simple: to create spaces where people can pause, breathe, and come back to themselves. Whether that's through a strong physical practice, a slow and nourishing yin class, the deep rest of a sound bath, or a few days away at a retreat — my aim is always the same. To help you feel more at home in your body, and more connected to your life.

Over the years I've been grateful to work with hundreds of students in person and online, and to watch a genuinely supportive community grow around the practice. That community is one of my most treasured things.

How I got here

I first rolled out a yoga mat over 12 years ago, hoping to get a little more flexible for pole fitness. I came to realise pretty quickly that I'd started something much more important than getting the splits.

Movement has always been a big part of my life. Yoga became the perfect blend of strength, softness, and self-discovery — its rich history, mind-opening philosophy, and deep teachings offering endless ways to connect more deeply with myself and the world around me.

In 2016 I travelled to India, the start of a 2.5 years trip changed everything. It deepened my commitment to yoga and to myself — lighting a spark that has been guiding me ever since.

Now it's my joy and purpose to help others fall in love with their bodies, and to bring movement, deeper awareness, and real medicine into their lives.

How I teach

My approach is rooted in the belief that yoga should support the whole person — body, mind, and nervous system.

Some days we need strength and challenge. Other days we need stillness and rest. I love creating practices that honour both sides of that spectrum — allowing students to explore effort and ease, movement and stillness, strength and softness — and weaving philosophy and meaning into every session so the practice becomes something that extends far beyond the mat.

Yoga isn't about achieving perfect poses. It's about building awareness, resilience, and a deeper relationship with yourself.

Sound healing sits alongside the movement work as its own doorway into stillness. Using gongs, crystal singing bowls, tuning forks, chimes, and voice, I create spaces where people can simply lie down, let go, and rest at a depth that's hard to find anywhere else.

After qualifying as a reformer pilates instructor in early 2026, I added a completely new dimension to my movement teaching. The reformer is a remarkable piece of kit — it meets the body where it is, builds deep functional strength, and creates awareness in ways that complement everything I already love about yoga. I teach group reformer classes at The Reform Lounge in Mansfield, and offer private 1:1 sessions on my own reformer — tailored entirely to you.

Outside of teaching

When I'm not on the mat or behind the bowls, you'll find me out in nature, adventuring in our campervan with our dogs, or continuing my own practice and learning. Yoga remains a personal anchor in my own life — something I'm grateful for every single day.

If any of this resonates — I'd love to meet you.
